Hita Bambhania-Modha

Hita is a SCVAS member and self-taught artist who enjoys photography, drawing, and painting.  Enjoy her photos on Instagram or on her website.

 

Tom Grey

Tom lives on the Stanford campus and began photographing birds in 2002. His pbase gallery contains an extensive, well-organized collection of bird photographs.

 

Peter Hart

Peter is a bird photographer, cyclist, furniture maker, pianist, community volunteer and traveler. He’s been on SCVAS’s board and multiple committees since 2011. Peter maintains a Birds of Jasper Ridge photo gallery and a Flickr gallery for his many birding adventures.

 

Vivek Khanzode

Vivek is a strong supporter and active presenter in the Bay Area Bird Photographers group of SCVAS. In his spare time, Vivek photographs birds in the Bay Area and beyond. His bird photos have been published by the National Audubon Society, the American Bird Conservancy, and several other conservation related organizations. Barry Langdon-Lassagne

An avid birder since the early 1980s, Barry started photographing birds and wildflowers in the 1990s. Barry is the president of SCVAS’s Board of Directors and chair of the Birdathon Committee.

 

Brooke Miller

Brooke A Miller has been birding in Santa Clara County since 1997.  In 2003 she started taking photos of birds, and shares her photography at:  First Came a Bird (idbirds.smugmug.com).  A San Francisco Bay Area native, she caught the nature bug early in life.  She currently produces the Cumulative Monthly Bird Report for Santa Clara County, and is the administrator of the Facebook group, Silicon Valley Birding.  She birds with her dog, Chief, a standard poodle.

 

John Richardson

SCVAS Board member and committee chair, John has committed himself, through his photography, to capture images of birds, reptiles, mammals, amphibians, and insects—especially those which are extremely threatened. By bringing these species alive in their stunning colors and vivid displays, he gives voice to those species in our natural world that are in desperate need for protection. Vayun Tiwari

Vayun Tiwari was the Youth Winner the National Audubon Society’s 2020 Photography Awards! He was featured in a NAS video and his accomplishments have been highlighted in the Sunnyvale Sun and on Cal-Hi Sports.

 

Luis Villablanca

Luis is a Software Engineer living in Mountain View. He started photographing birds in 2007 and since then has enjoyed capturing on photos the beauty of the birds of North America, and in particular the birds of the Bay Area. You can see more of his photos on Flickr and Instagram.

 

Steve Zamek

Steve is a former software engineer who has been birding and enjoying wildlife for several decades. He organizes and runs the Bay Area Bird Photographers group. See more of Steve’s photos at Feather Light Photography.
