BIRD GOOGLE

In 2016, Google’s Resilient Silicon Valley Program sponsored Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society with an award that allowed us to develop a self-guided birding map and tour of Google’s Mountain View campus. You can access public parking, walking routes with observation points and popular hotspots using this map. Hotspots include Google’s Green Loop Gardens, the restored habitat and observation areas along the wetland of the Charleston Marsh, and during the nesting season - the beautiful and boisterous Snowy Egrets and Great Egrets in the Shorebird Way rookery.

Google’s Resilient Silicon Valley award has also supported the creation of a “Make Your Home Safe for Birds” brochure to help homeowners create a safe and friendly environment for birds around their homes.

Enjoy!
