Picchetti Ranch Preserve

Orange-crowned Warbler by Teresa Cheng

Join us for a pleasant walk through oak woodlands and chaparral habitat to the ephemeral pond. Expect woodpeckers, flycatchers, warblers, towhees and other forest and chaparral birds.

Trip Difficulty: 2 miles, packed-dirt trails, some hills (less than 300 ft elevation gain), some shade

Meet: parking lot

Directions: From I-280 in Cupertino take Foothill Blvd south 3.3 miles (becomes Stevens Canyon Rd). Turn right on Montebello Rd, go about a mile, and then turn left after the winery entrance into the preserve parking lot. Latitude/Longitude: 37.294602, -122.091328
