BIRDING BY EAR AT PICCHETTI RANCH PRESERVE

Picchetti Ranch Preserve is a beautiful place to listen for birdsong. We hope to catch some fall migrants as we listen for Orange-crowned Warblers, Pacific-slope Flycatchers, Wrentits, and many more. This field trip will focus on birding by ear and is open to anyone, regardless of skill level and experience.

Trip Difficulty: 2 miles, packed dirt trails, some moderate hills

Beginner Friendly

Meet: Picchetti Ranch parking lot

Directions: From I-280 in Cupertino take Foothill Blvd south 3.3 miles (becomes Stevens Canyon Rd). Turn right on Montebello Rd, go about a mile, and then turn left after the winery entrance into the preserve parking lot. Latitude/Longitude: 37.294602, -122.091328
