Young Birders Club: Beginner's Photography Workshop at Shoreline

  • Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve Trailhead 37.433767, -122.099796 (map)

Join the Young Birders Club and the Bay Area Bird Photographers for a beginner's photography workshop at Shoreline Lake! Young birders will have the opportunity to learn from experienced wildlife photographers and see what it's like to work in the field. Optionally, participants can come up to an hour early to photograph in the early morning sunrise with YBC co-lead Valerie Wong and experienced photographer Sreedhara Alavattam.

All levels of birders and photographers are welcome—no experience required. To make the most of your experience, we recommend bringing a camera with at least 200mm of zoom or equivalent if possible, but if not, all gear is welcome!

Don't want to take photos but still want to participate? Join in on the fun by cheering on the

photographers and birding with us!
