Come join us to bird Oka Ponds! This field trip is especially for people who identify as women, femme or nonbinary and is led for us, by us. Oka Ponds may not be super wild, but we expect to see a variety of ducks, hope to see Wilson's Snipe, and expect other birds to make an appearance.

Trip Difficulty: about 2 miles, paved, dirt, and grass route, muddy or possibly muddy after rain, little or no elevation gain, little to no shade

Other Trip Notes: Wear sturdy shoes in case of mud! Bring binoculars if you have them.

Meet: Oka Lane Entrance to Los Gatos Creek County Park

Directions: From CA-17 in Los Gatos, exit Lark Ave. Travel west then take the first right turn after the freeway onto Oka Rd. At the end of Oka Rd turn left onto W Mozart Ave then take the first right turn onto Oka Ln. Park entrance at the end of the road. Street parking. This is not a wheelchair accessible entrance. Facilities: cell phone service, bathrooms and drinking water at the main entrance, no facilities from the other Dell Ave entrances, or the Oka Lane entrance. Water fountains at the grassy area, ADA bathrooms, good cell phone signal, picnic areas, reservable group picnic area, some benches along the trails, dog park, fishing
