Photo Walk at Palo Alto Baylands

Long-billed Curlew by Vivek Khanzode

Meet at the Lucy Evans Baylands Nature Interpretive Center parking lot at 8:15a for a leisurely walk that will take us around the Palo Alto Baylands. We will visit the slough, the boardwalk, the duck pond and the trails around the nature center looking for birds to photograph.

Trip Difficulty: A little over 2 miles, mostly flat trails, mostly unpaved, single track. No significant elevation gain

Other Trip Notes: Rain or fog cancels and I will monitor the weather a few days earlier. Please bring your camera and the longest lens you have - I will also try to help out with photography questions, should there be any. I currently use the Sony system but am quite familiar with Canon and somewhat familiar with Nikon. Please also bring some water, a snack and comfortable walking shoes.
