Hellyer County Park and Cottonwood Lake

A San Jose urban park with a mix of habitats - riparian, woodland, fresh water lake - provides a wide variety of species in a small area. A mix of wintering birds and residents with the chance of a rarity or two.

Meet: Playground parking lot

Directions: From US-101 in San Jose, exit Hellyer Ave. Follow the signs for the county park and merge onto Hellyer Ave. Once on Hellyer Ave, take the first left into the main parking lot. Pass through the entry kiosk and continue to the playground parking lot. Latitude/Longitude: 37.282308, -121.811631

Parking Type and Fees: $6 parking fee or Santa Clara County Park pass
