Sunnyvale Water Pollution Control Plant - East Pond

Join us for a flat, 2.5-mile walk beside some of the ponds and waterways that make up Sunnyvale's Water Pollution Control Plant. We may see American White Pelicans, Common Gallinules, Swallows, and other water birds.

Trip Difficulty: 2.5 miles, gravel and dirt trails, no shade

Other Trip Notes: Come prepared with sunscreen and layers to stay warm in a possible wind.

Beginner Friendly

Meet: on the north side of W. Caribbean Drive where the Bay Trail meets the road

Directions: From 237 take the Caribbean Drive/Lawrence Expressway exit; head north and west along Caribbean Drive for about 1.4 miles (one "block" past Borregas Avenue) and park on the north side of the road. (Currently there is construction at the plant, so parking is not allowed on Carl Road or Borregas Avenue.) Latitude/Longitude: 37.417656,-122.019014
