Sunnyvale Water Pollution Control Plant East Pond

Join us for a flat, 2.5-mile walk beside some of the ponds and waterways that make up Sunnyvale's Water Pollution Control Plant. We may see American White Pelicans, Common Gallinules, Swallows, and other water birds.

Trip Difficulty: 2.5 miles, wide, flat, gravel/dirt trails

Other Trip Notes: Come prepared with sunscreen, layers, and rain gear, just in case.

Beginner Friendly, Family Friendly Ages 10 and up

Meet: on the northside of W Caribbean Dr, just west of Borregas Ave, where the Bay Trail meets the road

Directions: Note! New starting point! The parking lot on Carl Rd is closed. From CA-237 in Sunnyvale, exit Lawrence Expy/Caribbean Dr. Continue onto Caribbean Dr. In a little over one mile, you’ll pass Borregas Ave. After you’ve passed Borregas Ave, park anywhere along W Caribbean Dr. Latitude/Longitude: 37.417656,-122.019014

Facilities: port-a-potty near the start (and end)

Parking Type and Fees: no fee to park along W. Carribean Drive
