Learn your backyard birds on this beginners' bird walk with the Park Rangers and the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society! With the help of Park Rangers and volunteers, you’ll observe the birds that come to the feeders and learn how to use Merlin, a free bird identification app that is helpful for new birders. We’ll then take a short stroll together (less than 1 mile on a paved, flat path along the Stevens Creek Trail, looking for and identifying birds. Afterwards, we’ll email you a list of the bird species observed and a guide to birding resources. Binoculars available and toilet paper roll “binoculars” for children.
