Field Trip: Photo Walk at Oka Ponds: Ducks and Gulls in Focus

Bring your camera for an introductory photography field session, strolling along the paved and gravel paths surrounding Oka Ponds. We will provide tips and tricks for getting the most out of your nature photography. Discussion of tradeoffs between aperture, shutter speed, and ISO will be part of our talk. We will also discuss how to identify the birds we see... yes, even the gulls!

Trip Difficulty: 1 mile; flat paved and gravel trails; steady rain cancels, mist does not!

Meet: Los Gatos Creek County Park (Main Entrance) in the parking lot near restrooms   

Directions: From CA-17 S exit San Tomas Expy then immediately take the Camden Ave exit. After 0.1 miles, continue on Dell Ave for 0.8 miles. Turn left into park entrance.  From CA-17 N, exit Camden Ave/San Tomas Expy. Turn left onto White Oaks Rd then left onto Camden Ave. Continue onto San Tomas Expy then immediately take the Camden Ave exit. After 0.1 miles, continue on Dell Ave for 0.8 miles.
