Garin Regional Park is located in Hayward and belongs to the East Bay Regional Parks District. It features beautiful oak savannah habitat with rolling grassy hills above a lush creek and a small pond. We will move at a relaxed pace as we search for spring migrants like Ash-throated Flycatcher, Lazuli Bunting, Black-headed Grosbeak, Bullock's Oriole and Grasshopper Sparrow. We will spend a large part of our time learning bird songs on this trip.

Trip Difficulty: 2 miles; mostly level dirt trails with some climbing in grassland section where it will be hot; water is recommended.
