Puddle Jumping: Birding the King Tide
We will bird the 'airport' trail at Palo Alto Bay Lands, beginning at the Lucy Evans Interpretive Center, going north, ending at San Francisquito Creek. Hopefully we will spot winter ducks, various kinds of sparrows, migratory and year-round, and the Marsh Wren.
Trip Difficulty: 2 miles, dirt trails, muddy or possibly muddy after rain, some benches, no shade, very flat all the way.
Other Trip Notes: Rain cancels. The tide should be about 9.27 feet at around 10:36 am that day. Thanks to the marsh, trail will not be 'flooded.'

Meet: Palo Alto Bay Lands parking lot across from the Lucy Evans Interpretive Center
Directions: From US-101 in Palo Alto take Embarcadero Rd east towards the bay. Pass the airport and turn left at the T-intersection. Continue for 0.5 miles passing the duck pond. Just over the bridge, the nature center (2775 Embarcadero Rd) will be on your left and the paved parking area will be on your right. Latitude/Longitude: 37.458949, -122.105212
