Photo Walk at Palo Alto Baylands

Photo walks are an opportunity for photographers to discuss tips and techniques in the field while engaging with live subjects. Photography is a great way to document bird observations in the field and on this trip we will seek to shoot all the species we see, while not ignoring any opportunity for "keeper" shots. We will start by shooting the "sitting ducks" in the duck pond and then wander out to the boardwalk and adjoining areas for returning sparrows, ducks and shorebirds. This area offers a diversity of bird species as well as photographic opportunities and if there is a rarity reported in the area, we will look to target it as well.

Trip Difficulty: 1 mile, flat paved trails, wooden boardwalk.

Other Trip Notes: Dressing in layers and carrying a water bottle is recommended.
