Guadalupe Oak Grove Park

We'll look for residents and winter visitors in this small, aptly named park on San Jose's south side. There are acorn woodpeckers in high concentration, titmice, chickadees, and nuthatches, many possibilities for raptors, and a wintering Phainopepla.

Trip Difficulty: 1.5 miles, dirt trails, muddy or possibly muddy after rain, some hills (less than 300 feet elevation gain), shady

Directions: Directions: From CA-85 in San Jose, exit Almaden Expy. Continue south for 1.2 miles then turn right onto McAbee Rd. Travel 0.3 miles on McAbee then turn right onto Thorntree Dr. Parking lot is on your left in 0.3 miles. Latitude/Longitude: 37.236394, -121.878188
