Ed Levin County Park has wonderful varied birding habitat. We'll enjoy the last of our lingering swallows and orioles while looking for new fall migrants.  

Trip Difficulty: 2 miles, mixture of paved trails and packed dirt. We may walk up the hills behind Sandy Wool, which has some moderate elevation.

Meet: large parking lot adjacent to dog park

Directions: From I-680 in Milpitas, exit E Calaveras Blvd and go east for 2 miles. Turn left onto Downing Rd and continue for 1.1 miles going past Sandy Wool Lake to the opposite side. The large parking lot will be on your right next to the dog park. Google Plus Code: "F44P+VV Milpitas, California" (paste code, city, and state into Google maps).
