Edenvale Gardens Regional Park

Located near the Hayes Mansion in South San Jose, this local park is an oasis for many species of birds throughout the year. It has paved trails and well kept restrooms.

Optional: pack your own lunch/snack and we'll picnic together afterwards.

Trip Difficulty: 2-3 miles (most likely less). Some sun and mostly shade on well paved asphalt trails.

Other Trip Notes: Possibly warm weather by the end of the day, but dress in light layers. Cars will be close by if you want to put anything in your car that you don't want to carry.

Meet: parking lot

Directions: From US-101, take the Blossom Hill Rd exit west. Turn right on Lean Ave. Continue for about 0.8 miles. (Lean Ave becomes Edenvale Ave.) The parking lot will be on your left. From CA-85, take the Blossom Hill Rd exit and turn left onto Blossom Hill Rd. Continue 1 mile then turn left onto Lean Ave. Continue about 1.5 miles (Lean Ave becomes Edenvale Ave). The park will be on your left. Coming from Branham Lane east, take a right on Saddlebrook Dr. and follow it around to Edenvale Ave. and the park will be on the right once you turn onto Edenvale (Edenvale and Saddlebrook are the same road, but change names after a hard curve.) Facilities: Drinking fountains, good cell service, clean flush toilets with soap.
