An Evening with Richard Crossley: Learning to Look

Santa Clara Valley Audubon SocietySan Francisco Bay Bird Observatory, and Los Gatos Birdwatcher are proud to present Richard Crossley for an open air presentation and book signing at McClellan Ranch Preserve in Cupertino.

Richard will talk about birding lessons learned from living on 3 continents to paying back through conservation initiatives and youth birding. He will also talk about the unique design of his books - some of it will surprise you! Come and get to know Richard in a beautiful setting; be ready to ask a question or two.

Richard Crossley is an internationally acclaimed birder, photographer and award winning author of ‘The Crossley ID Guide’ series. Crazy, wildly passionate, driven and single-minded are just a few of the words used to describe his love of birding and the outdoors. Richard co-authored the successful The Shorebird Guide. He quickly became obsessed with the newfound opportunities provided by digital technology, Photoshop and book design. The Crossley ID Guide series was created. The innovative design shows a more lifelike and complete picture, challenging many of the traditional ‘old-school’ book layouts.
