To compete for prizes, all participants must raise or donate at least $50 (but we hope you will raise more!). Raise more money to win the best prizes.

This fun team welcomes young birders ages 6-16. Birders must have basic binocular and identification skills and the interest to bird for six hours (and a willing parent to accompany them). We will begin at 7:30 AM, break for a 30-minute lunch and continue to approximately 2:00 PM to beat our last year's record of 65 species. Pati has served on the Board of Directors for SFBBO, is an avid birder and international trip leader. Register.

Go Green and go mean! This whirlwind bayside biking adventure starts at Sunnyvale Baylands, heads to Alviso and back again and finishes at Charleston Slough (time permitting). The adventure will be roughly 20 miles, at a moderate pace. High-performance road bikes are not recommended for these trails - use your own judgement. 80+ species. Register.

Count birds in the marshes of Alviso Slough from a unique vantage point - aboard the historic 44-foot tugboat Sea Dive. Join First-mate Susan Bell and Captain Charles Bell on a slough cruise then finish counting on shore to total four hours. Includes refreshments! Meet in Alviso. Take a leisurely one-mile stroll along Stevens Creek from McClellan Road to Stevens Creek Blvd. as we conduct the Creek Cruiser's tenth annual spring bird survey. After the first four hours, you are invited to continue on for about three hours more to complete the survey by birding the Stocklmeir property whose creek restoration has begun! We'll complete the loop back to the start through McClellan Ranch West, the section of the nature preserve on the west side of the creek. You can participate in the Birdathon part only or the entire survey. We expect to find about 50 species. Register.

To be considered for prizes, you must submit your individual Results Form (PDF or editable MS Word), pledge sheets, and money raised (at least $50) by this deadline. Please submit a form no matter how little you raised since these forms will be used to calculate your team total. Every bit helps your team!

Awards Dinner

Find out who won the big prizes! All Spring Birdathon participants are encouraged to attend the dinner at McClellan Ranch Preserve. There will be free food and refreshments, games, surprises, raffles, and fun for all! Prizes will be distributed at the dinner. You do not have to attend the Awards Dinner to win. However, if you can't attend, you must make your own arrangements to pick up your prize at the SCVAS Office.
