Topic: “Birding San Francisco Hotspots: A look at migrants, rarities and warblers” with Bob Gunderson

Description: Starting at Lake Merced, on the southwest side of the city, this bird photography tour will go up the Great Highway to Sutro Baths and Sutro Heights and then swing down to Golden Gate Park for a look at ten different birding locations there. Next will be the Presidio, with looks at Fort Point, Crissy Field and Crissy Lagoon, and then on to Fort Mason. The tour will then go across the city to the southeast side to the Pier 94 Salt Marsh and Heron’s Head Park. When available, the photographs will be of migrants and rarities and filled in with birds typically found at the locations. The presentation will end with a more detailed look at the twenty-three species of warblers photographed in the city.
