Topic: "Birds of the Sierra Nevada" with Luis Villablanca
Description: Some springs ago, a friend of mine invited me to photograph birds in the Sierra Nevada. On that trip we found so many beautiful bird species and landscapes which I had not seen before. I liked so much what I saw, that I started going back year after year. I even started going in different seasons to see what else was up there. Every time I visited the area I found something else, some new experience, and new birds which I had not been able to photograph before, from raptors in the winter to colorful tanagers, warblers, flycatchers, woodpeckers and many more in the spring. In this presentation, I will share photos and some videos of the birds found in my excursions to the Sierra. The locations include the valleys in and around the Sierra and national forests, like Plumas, Tahoe, Inyo and Lassen.
